An outstanding project on which Stanz collaborated is the Bungehuis in Amsterdam. This architecturally significant building has been fitted with a Stansz Linen Chute System. This means that used linen can be easily disposed of, resulting in improved logistics and efficiency.
Linen chute system in historic Bungehuis
The Bungehuis is an architecturally significant office building dating from 1934 and located along Spuistraat in Amsterdam. The Stansz vertical linen transport system was installed over 5 floors with disposal openings on 3 floors. Loose items of used hotel room linen can therefore be efficiently transported to the ‘linen room’ in the basement.
Minimal waste nuisance
The Stansz linen chute system was installed during a large-scale renovation project by construction company Salverda from ‘t Harde. The architectural firm Kentie en Partners Architekten BV from Zwanenburg designed the project. The Stansz system has resulted in more comfortable and hygienic conditions for guests because elevators, stairways and corridors are kept free of linen. In this way, nuisance and inconvenience are kept to an absolute minimum.
